 Does Old World Salons have full-time receptionists?

Yes, we provide full-time dedicated receptionists during our normal operating hours. The receptionists are a big part of what makes our salons great. They are there to greet your clients and make them feel welcome. When you are busy with another client, you can count on the receptionists to welcome your next client. If your client is new to our salon, a receptionist walks the client to your suite. Our receptionists are also responsible for keeping the salon clean and tidy throughout the day (including the restrooms). Unlike other salons where the receptionist may also be the office manager, at Old World Salons we have dedicated, full-time receptionists who are responsible exclusively to attend the reception area, receive and greet your clients and assist you in other ways.

 

 Is Old World Salons managed by the owners?

Yes, the owners are always present on the premises and involved full-time in the management of the salons. This means that issues are addressed immediately, and you are dealing directly with the owners of the business.

 

  Do you offer flexible lease options?

Yes, we offer a menu of Flexible Leasing options designed to meet your specific needs. From short-term to long-term leases, we are able to customize a lease that is right for you. We can also include options that allow you to end your lease early if needed. Having a lease agreement benefits both you and the salon. The salon benefits by attracting experienced and stable tenants with a strong clientele. You benefit from the security of knowing you can concentrate on operating your business, without surprise rate increases or having to move to another location on short notice. But if a short-term lease is what you need, then we can accommodate that as well.

 

 Do you offer different types and lengths of leases?

Yes, our Flexible Leasing options include short-term leases, buy-out options, and different types of extensions including month-to-month. When you visit with us we will be happy to explain all of the options available for you to customize a lease that fits your specific needs.

 

  Who is responsible for cleaning the salon?

Old World Salons maintains the salon common areas, including the lobby, hallways, restrooms and other shared spaces. Our receptionists makes sure the salon stays clean and tidy throughout the day, including keeping the restrooms clean and stocked. We have a professional cleaning service that thoroughly cleans all the common areas and restrooms at night.

 

 Can I decorate and paint my suite?

Yes, at Old World Salons we will assist you to decorate and paint your suite to reflect your personal style and needs. We understand that your suite is where you will spend a great portion of your day, and we believe it should be your own personal space where you can be highly productive and comfortable. When you first move into your suite, we will work with you on furniture configuration and we will paint the suite for you. You get to enjoy your own personal space, and your clients will enjoy all of the features and decor that represent your unique style.

 

  Is there plenty of parking for me and my clients?

Our salons are centrally located in modern shopping centers with plenty of parking at Southlake and North Richland Hills. This includes private parking in the rear of the building for our tenants, and large parking lots in the front of the building for your clients and visitors. Parking will never be an issue for you or your clients at Old World Salons.

 

  Do you get walk-in clients?

Yes, our front desk receptionists greet all walk-in clients and follow a strict procedure to ensure that all our tenants who choose to accept walk-ins, have equal opportunity to gain new clients. We also schedule new clients who call for appointments, using the same walk-in procedure. We are located in busy shopping centers, next to major stores such as Walmart, Kroger, Office Depot, Hobby Lobby and other popular businesses, which brings plenty of walk-in customer opportunities.

 

  Are walk-ins and visitors allowed to wonder around the salon?

No, our receptionists are stationed at the front desk and supervise all visitors and clients. Visitors who are not regular clients are asked to be seated in the front lobby and wait to be introduced to an available participating tenant. If the walk-in client is not looking for an immediate appointment, the receptionist will take down the information and match the client with a participating tenant.

 

  Do you advertise to help us get new clients?

Yes, we spend considerable time and money promoting the salon. Our popular website is a great source of new clients, and each tenant has a bio on our website that describes their skills, services and any specials they would like to offer. We advertise on Google and Craigslist to help generate calls for you. This is all done at our expense, and is one of the big benefits of joining our salon. We encourage you to compare the depth of content on our website to any of our competitors. All this results in potential new clients calling you for an appointment!

 

  Are there waiting areas for my clients?

Yes! We are convinced that our salon layout offers the most comfortable waiting areas of any suite-salon around. From a spacious lobby to wide hallways with plenty of seating, your clients will feel welcome and comfortable as they wait for their appointment. This is a great benefit to your business, since you can rest assured that your client is waiting in comfort. Unlike other salons with narrow dark hallways with limited seating, and small or non-existent lobbies, Old World Salons feels like a luxury salon and not a doctor's office. The salon receptionists are also available to greet and accommodate your clients as well as offer them free gourmet coffee served in the lobby or in the waiting area next to each suite.

 

 Does the salon have a customer lobby?

Yes, our salons have spacious and accommodating lobbies for your clients. The full-time receptionists works from the front desk in the lobby of Old World Salons. Our customer lobby includes comfortable seating areas, a gourmet coffee bar, salon directory, and the front desk. At the front desk your client will always find assistance and a warm greeting from our receptionists.

 

  When can I access my suite to serve my clients? Do I have 24/7 access?

You have 24 hour, 7 days per week secure access to your suite. You can take care of your clients whenever you want, offering the most flexibility to meet your client's needs. Our salons provide keyless security systems that allow you easy access to the salon after-hours.

 

  Do you control what hours I work?

No. At Old World Salons you are an independent business owner, and you set your own hours and schedule. You have complete control over your schedule, and 24/7 access to your suite.

 

  Do you control my client contact information?

No. You have complete control over your client information and you maintain your own schedule and manage your own client appointments. Old World Salons does not have access to any of your client information. This means you are able to build a clientele that belongs to you exclusively.

 

  Is there coffee available for my clients?

Yes, we provide free gourmet coffee for you and your clients. During regular salon hours, the receptionist is responsible for making sure coffee is always available. After regular hours, you are also free to make coffee for you and your clients. We also provide vending machines that offer drinks and snacks.

 

  How long have you been in business?

Old World Salons has been in business for over 10 years at the same salon locations. We are a stable, locally-owned and operated business dedicated to our tenants and the communities we serve. Our first salon in North Richland Hills opened in 2003, and the Southlake salon opened in 2004.

 

  Do you control what I charge for my services?

No, you are in complete control over pricing and your menu of services! Since it's your business, you get to decide what you get paid for your hard work! We do not take any commissions or splits on your services.

 

  Are utilities included in the rent?

Yes, all utilities (water, electricity) are included in your suite rent. This includes our instant and endless hot water system, backed by two redundant heavy-duty commercial hot water heaters.

 

  Does each suite have its own sink?

Yes, each individual suite at Old World Salons has its own hair sink (or vanity sink for estheticians and nail specialists). Each sink is connected to our instant and endless hot water supply system. This means that your suite is completely self-contained, and your clients will appreciate not having to walk through the salon after getting their hair washed.

 

  Does each suite have its own door?

Yes, each suite has a locking door (with window). Want to get away from the action of the salon, or provide more privacy for your client? Then simply close your door and you get to enjoy the privacy and comfort of your luxury suite at Old World Salons. And when you leave for the day you can feel comfortable in knowing that your suite is locked and secure.

 

  Is Old World Salons a franchise?

No, we are a locally owned and operated independent business. This means the owners are actively involved in managing the business on-site, and are able to respond and resolve any of your needs immediately. This personal and professional attention from on-site owners is a key to being the best suite salon in the area.

 

  What furniture is included with each suite?

Our suites typically include a hair sink, reclining shampoo chair, high-end hydraulic styling chair, mirror or cutting station, mounted towel cabinet, and a box dryer. We will work with you to customize the configuration of your suite to meet your specific needs and style. We have found that each tenant has unique needs and preferences, and we are committed to helping you configure your suite to create the best environment possible for you and your clients.

 

  Is there Wi-Fi available in the salon?

Yes, Old World Salons offers free Wi-Fi to all tenants and guests.

 

  Do you offer a credit card service?

Yes, we offer an optional shared credit card service. This service eliminates the need for you to establish and maintain your own credit card merchant account. But you may also choose to use your own credit card service from within your suite.

 

  What other services are offered at your salon?

Old World Salons offers the best in hair care, skin care, nail care and massage therapy. We also have professionals who offer permanent makeup, eyelash extensions and other spa services. Gift items are also available at both salons. Old World Salons is a one-stop village of professionals to serve all the health and beauty needs of our customers.

 

  Do you get a percentage of my profits?

No! At Old World Salons you are an independent business owner, and you keep all of your hard-earned profits! You pay a weekly rent which is guaranteed by your lease.

 

  Do you have a security system?

Yes, we have security cameras and other security systems to ensure the safety of the salon. During regular salon hours, we have full-time receptionists who also monitors the security of the salon. After regular hours, our salons are secured by a monitored alarm system.

 

  Do you provide an easy to use online tenant directory?

Yes, our website provides an easy-to-use directory of all of our tenants. Existing clients can easily find your contact information, and new clients can read about your expertise, services and any specials or discounts you may be offering.
